About The Artist
A native Washingtonian reared in Northern Virginia, Paul divides his time between residences in Key West, FL and Northern Virginia.
His passion for the arts started at a very early age through outreach community summer programs that allowed him, along with other children with learning disabilities, to experience self-expression through different media. The experience so influenced him that it remains a compelling force to this day. The art of creating is truly in his DNA as Paul identifies the beauty he inherently sees in a subject, then enhances and refines it for the viewer's enjoyment.
As a teen, Paul realized that his family’s needs and his own requirement for financial security would mean taking the more customary route of entering the traditional labor market, preventing him from pursuing his artistic endeavors on a full-time basis.
Paul assimilated into the workforce, traveling the US extensively as a consultant for major high tech firms, honing his complex proposal & program management skills. These skills complemented his creative characteristics, providing him the ability to resolve complex issues by challenging traditional methods with stunning accomplishments. He quickly obtained senior level status in the technical world. At the same time he discovered the de-humanizing culture of the corporative world often caused him sleepless nights, so he turned to canvas to escape that world and create more beautiful and tranquil environment.
Paul is a self-taught artist. His unique sense of space, texture, materials and concepts are often captured in large scale. His artistic use of varying matter frequently involves using material outside that of traditional media, invoking stunning and memorable works.
Today Paul uses his technical skills to complement his artistic skills, working with digital images to produce stunning canvases. The method used is the same exceptional quality used by museums world-wide is known as giclee.
